"Botox (Los Gatos) - Is it a Good Idea?"
by James Delano

Nowadays, the term botox is not an alien term to us anymore. With celebrities all over the world, opting for this sooner or later in their careers, we have a fairly good idea about what the stuff is and what it is used for. For those of you who are still a bit foggy about the whole concept, this article will certainly answer your questions.

Who does not want flawless and beautiful skin? Wouldn't it be wonderful if we would not have to deal with wrinkles and crow's feet around our eyes as we grow older? Sadly, we can't prevent ageing but we can certainly prevent the wrinkles from showing up on our face. How? Enter: Botox. This is an acronym for botulinum toxin A. As is evident from the name, it is related to botulism that is a kind of food poisoning. It occurs if someone consumes anything that contains a neurotoxin that produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum (from which the botulinum toxin A is derived).

Botox if injected in small and careful doses can work wonders in removing wrinkles and smoothening the skin. As your age increases, the nerves constantly send signals to muscles to contract, thus giving rise to wrinkles. Once botox is injected in the body, it will block these signals, thereby weakening the muscles and reducing or preventing wrinkles for some months.

This treatment takes about 10 minutes and it has to be repeated when the lines start showing up again. You should be careful not to over-do your botox treatments. There should be sufficient gaps between two sessions or it could lead to disastrous results. Recently, actress Nicole Kidman received a lot of flak for her "frozen look" in front of the paparazzi at the County Music Awards. Her forehead looked extremely odd because it was extra smooth and did not go with her "natural" smile. This was the result of a botched up botox job.

Firstly you should read up entirely in detail about botox, how it is done, and the side effects which may vary from person to person. If you are looking to get botox (Los Gatos) for yourself, then the Internet is the best place to begin your search from. There are quite a few clinics that offer botox procedures at reasonable rates. Give them a call and find out their rates and make up your mind after you have spoken with a doctor. Say bye to those wrinkles!
